Later, another incident involving a woman seeking marital advice added fuel to the controversy. Odifour recalled that the woman, who was introduced to him by a colleague, called him at night to discuss her marital troubles. She mentioned rejecting a GHS 30,000 compensation from her husband’s family, claiming it fell short by GHS 2,000.
In an attempt to counsel her, Odifour advised the woman to accept the money and stop visiting the station until her marital issues were resolved. However, the woman secretly recorded their conversation and forwarded it to the station’s management. This recording was reportedly a key factor in his dismissal.
Odifour acknowledged that his actions might have been misinterpreted, admitting to some level of misconduct but insisting he had no malicious intentions. He maintained that his advice was given in good faith and aimed at helping the woman navigate her situation.
The former SOMPA FM staff member also clarified that the rumors about him engaging in inappropriate relationships were false and hurtful. He expressed disappointment over how the situation was handled and the subsequent damage to his reputation.
