Stephen Manu, a former striker for Asante Kotoko, longs for Albert Amoah and Kwame Poku's partnership.

With seven goals from 12 games in the domestic top-flight season, Amoah, who joined the Porcupine Warriors from the Great Olympics in the summer, has already made an impression.

Additionally, Manu claimed in an interview with Kessben FM, which Ghanasoccernet.com later reported, that Kwame Poku's comeback makes Kotoko's attack lethal.

"Albert Amoah is a capable goal scorer and a fighter. Although he missed many opportunities during the game, he had a strong will to battle. Kotoko's assault including Amoah and Kwame Poku will be lethal.

"I will give Kotoko a 60% rating. On a good day, they may score five or six goals in a game. He remarked, "I can see the team is gelling well now."

Before Sunday's Super Clash at Baba Yara Stadium, Kwame Poku was introduced as a Kotoko player, signaling his comeback to the team.

As he attempts to win the Ghana Premier League goal king accolade, Amoah will be trying to keep up his momentum.

With eight goals, Nations FC forward Faisal Charwetey tops the Premier League top scorers tally. Albert Amoah of Kotoko is next with seven goals.

James Kwesi Appiah, the head coach of Sudan's national team, has vehemently denounced the meddling of club owners, presidents, and football agents in player selection, stressing that only a true coach should have the power to select the players for any given game.

The former Black Stars coach expressed his annoyance at what he called a concerning trend in club and national football: attempts by outside parties to sway selection choices.

When it came to choosing players for his team, Appiah, who has been involved in a number of scandals during his time with the Black Stars, made it plain that he would not give in to outside pressure.

He told Asempa FM, "You are not a competent coach if you let someone who claims to be a club chairman, an agent, or the president of the country dictate which players you should choose."

I will no longer respect you, even if you are president, in my opinion. They will bring up the coach's name if something goes wrong.
