Legendary Hearts of Oak player Yaw Amankwa Mireku has voiced his displeasure with defender Kelvin Osei Asibey's recent play, especially the error that cost them a 1-0 loss to Asante Kotoko on Sunday.
Amankwa Mireku claims that Osei Asibey's blunders are the consequence of inadequate instruction and supervision, and he feels that if he had been a member of the technical team, he would not have made these mistakes.
In an interview with Kumasi-based Akoma FM, Amankwa Mireku stated, "If I were on the Hearts of Oak technical team, Osei Asibey would not commit such errors."
The great athlete also underlined that, like coaches who do not produce results, players who make expensive errors regularly should be held accountable
"This is the third time his mistakes have cost Hearts of Oak points, and players who frequently cost the club points should be benched, just as managers are fired when their mistakes cost the team points," he stated
Hearts of Oak now have 19 points and are in seventh place on the league log as a result of the loss. When they play Berekum Chelsea in the Matchday 14 games on Sunday at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium, they will be hoping to get back to winning ways.
