After defender Kelvin Osei Asibey made a costly error that resulted in a 1-0 loss to Asante Kotoko on Sunday, Hearts of Oak veteran Yaw Amankwah Mireku has urged the club's technical handlers to take serious measures against him.

Osei Asibey's frequent mistakes have lost Hearts of Oak important points, and Amankwah Mireku says it is time to bench him.

"This is the third time his mistakes have cost Hearts of Oak points, and players who frequently cost the club points should be benched, just as managers are fired when their mistakes cost the team points," he stated.

Amankwah Mireku thinks that Osei Asibey's overconfidence with the ball, which has become a defining characteristic of his game, is the cause of his errors.

"All the evidence leads to the training grounds being the root of these blunders, even though he is an excellent player," he continued.

Hearts of Oak now have 19 points and are in seventh place on the league log as a result of the loss. When they play Berekum Chelsea in the Matchday 14 games on Sunday at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium, they will be hoping to get back to winning ways.

After Medeama's triumph, vision coach Nana Agyemang justifies her altercation with a fan.

Nana Agyemang, the head coach of Vision FC, has given an explanation for his altercation with a supporter after his team's 3-2 Ghana Premier League victory over Medeama.

During his press conference after the game, Agyemang bemoaned the fans' unrelenting criticism, saying it was eroding the players' self-esteem.

"I am really relaxed. I do not usually interact with fans, and I do not mind if they express their feelings. However, Agyemang stated, "I do not even think he is a supporter or sympathizer of the squad."

"All he did was taunt the players and undermine their confidence, even when we were ahead 2-0. Then he made it work against me. This is what he does each week. His role is, in my opinion, to divert the team's attention regardless of how well we are performing.

After 13 games, Vision is toward the bottom of the table, so their triumph over Medeama was a rare bright spot in an otherwise difficult inaugural campaign.
