Inauguration of the 5th Assembly of the Kwahu-East District
The 5th Assembly of the Kwahu-East District was inaugurated on February 12, 2024, in a colorful ceremony at Abetifi. The event was graced by Hon. Dr. Kwaku Afriyie, the Minister for Environment, Science, Technology, and Innovation, along with several local dignitaries, traditional leaders, and members of the community.
In his keynote address, Hon. Dr. Afriyie commended the outgoing assembly members for their dedication and urged the newly inaugurated members to work diligently to serve the needs of the district. He highlighted the importance of grassroots governance in fostering development and encouraged cooperation between assembly members and the community.
The District Chief Executive (DCE), Hon. Isaac Agyapong, also spoke at the ceremony.
