Stephen Manu, a former striker for Asante Kotoko, feels the Porcupine Warriors lost a chance to defeat rivals Hearts of Oak in the Super Clash with a decisive win.

Albert Amoah's late goal, which took advantage of a defensive blunder, gave Kotoko a 1-0 victory in Kumasi.

However, according to Manu, Kotoko's dominance throughout the game deserved a higher score. "Kotoko overpowered Hearts of Oak, who had been in fantastic form," Manu stated in an interview with Kessben FM. If they had been more clinical, they ought to have defeated Hearts by a four-goal margin. Although Kotoko should have scored a lot of goals to overwhelm the Hearts club, the result was not disappointing. "A victory is a victory."

Even though Hearts of Oak had some encouraging early performances, Manu believes Kotoko's performance demonstrated their ability to challenge for the Ghana Premier League championship. "Certainly, without a doubt. Given their performance in the Super Clash, I firmly believe Kotoko can win the Premier League. If they take the proper actions, they can easily win the league," he continued.

With the victory, Hearts fell to seventh position with 19 points, while Kotoko rose to sixth place with 21 points.

When the Porcupine Warriors take on Dreams FC, who are now in last place, on Saturday, they hope to build on their win.
