David Ocloo is the new head coach of AS OTR Lomé, a top-tier Togolese team.
Amid rumors that he abruptly left the Ghanaian powerhouse, Ocloo, who quit as assistant coach of Asante Kotoko, is taking over the position.
According to Togolese media sources, Ocloo has taken Messan Ametokodo's place, albeit the club has not yet formally confirmed the appointment. His contract's specifics are still unknown.
As a former caretaker coach for both Asante Kotoko and Hearts of Oak, the seasoned coach has invaluable experience from Ghana's top league. Known for his tactical prowess, he was instrumental in Kotoko's 2022 league victory.
ASC Kara defeated AS OTR Lomé 2-3 at home to start their campaign dismally. Restoring the team's confidence and getting them back on track will be Ocloo's first priority.
The team believes that Ocloo's management prowess and experience will propel them to victory in the cutthroat Togolese division.
