Ghanaian actor Nana Yeboah has shared a chilling story of betrayal, revealing how a close friend tried to poison him in his own home. The popular Kumawood star described a terrifying experience where he narrowly escaped death after the trusted friend tampered with a box of juice. Yeboah recounted how the incident nearly took his life but was prevented by what he believes was divine intervention.
In an emotional interview with Emelia Brobbey, Yeboah explained the events leading up to the betrayal. He said that the friend, a regular visitor to his home, came over one day and was offered drinks. Yeboah had provided Malt and Fru Telli juice, which he kept in a storage area. The friend went into the room, picked several drinks, and opened one, adding some substance to it without Yeboah’s knowledge.
After the friend left, Yeboah was about to drink from the tainted box but noticed something unusual. As he poured the juice into a glass, he observed that it was foamy, and the box was swelling. Alarm bells went off, and he immediately realized that the drink had been poisoned. He quickly discarded it and called his friend to confront him.
Yeboah said that his friend was the only person who regularly visited him, as his partner and children lived in Obuasi. After carefully considering who might want to harm him, he concluded that it could only be his friend. He called him and bluntly asked if he had been sent to kill him. His friend, caught off guard, remained silent and could not respond.
A week later, the friend reached out to beg for forgiveness, but Yeboah, still shaken by the betrayal, told him there was nothing to forgive. He expressed his anger that his friend had not come clean when first confronted. Since then, the friend has not made further contact with Yeboah.
The experience left Yeboah deeply disturbed and scared of others. He admitted that the betrayal had shaken him to his core, leaving him fearful of trusting people in the future. Despite the horror of the incident, Yeboah is grateful for the divine intervention that saved his life, and he continues to reflect on the traumatic event.
