Liha Miller, the ex-wife of Ghanaian musician Patapaa, recently opened up about her troubled marriage and the steps she took to end it. In an interview with Zion Felix on December 16, 2024, Liha shared the emotional struggles she faced during her time with Patapaa, describing the experience as one of the worst in her life.
Miller explained that despite her efforts to make the marriage work, things became unbearable, and she knew deep down that a divorce was inevitable. She acknowledged that moving on was the best decision for her, as she was certain the relationship was beyond repair. According to her, there was a point when both she and her family recognized that the marriage had already broken down. "I was very sure about my decision to get a divorce because I couldn’t meet a new person today and had a different mind about going back to my previous marriage," she revealed.
She also shared that her family had noticed the growing distance between her and Patapaa. They started asking how long she planned to keep up the facade. Miller expressed her frustration at the way both Patapaa and the public had tarnished her reputation, leading to a lot of emotional distress. “The way people and Patapaa are tarnishing my image is not fair. I have cried a lot about this marriage. I tried to save it,” she confessed.
Miller went on to explain that she is waiting for the court to officially finalize the divorce before moving forward with her life. She added that she had already married another man in April, but her life was now moving forward, and she was eager to find happiness. "I am young, and I don’t have a child. I want a husband, I want to come to my family, and not a distant relationship. I need a man who is ready for it,” she said.
In reflecting on her marriage with Patapaa, Miller made it clear that there was no way it could ever be salvaged. Despite her attempts to make things work, she realized that it was over. She emphasized that she had not spoken to Patapaa in years, and he was fully aware of their separation. Miller expressed that although some might argue that their marriage was only legally recognized in Ghana, she felt the need to close that chapter completely before moving forward with her life. "If I want to move on with my life, I have to close that case first. I don’t want to leave two lives," she concluded.
