Black Maidens are in the finals of the 2024 WAFU B U-17 Girls Cup after their two year ban. They have returned with a bang, the female team after being caught for what was a report to CAF through Morocco for ages that where changed have been corrected and are cruising in the wafu tournament as Black Maidens have scored 12 goals in 3 WAFU B U-17 Girls Cup games.
The investment in the female football by this current association has been tremendous and has to be commended for that thing they are doing. The girls tournament is currently ongoing at the Ghanaman soccer centre of excellence in Prampram which has also gotten some face lift in recent years.
In this game they just gave it to the Ivorians with no remorse as they stamped a 5 goals controlling victory, at the moment they are favourites to win this tournament, it would be a good welcome back gift for them after a two year break.
And they would face their eternal rivals the Nigerians who also defeated Benin to qualify for the final. The match would be played in Prampram. The Nigerians have been strong as Tue Ghanaians in this tournament and the two strongest sides would be playing in the final, which means the game won't be so so open as it has been fine the black maidens in their previous games so far, the Nigerians would bring a though game to them, and they must find a way to make it happen for themselves.
At this moment we wish both side a good luck in the final and may the best team win the trophy.Note that all this tournament helps in preparing the players for bigger ones, putting them in a mood for competition. Once again it could be a welcome one for the maidens after serving their two years ban
