Ghanaian media personality and YouTuber, Jessica Opare-Saforo, has rustled controversy with her recent advice for men in relationships.

In a video that quickly gained attention on social media, the voice-over artist and former Miss Malaika host warned men against placing all their focus on one partner. She suggested that such intense attention could lead to obsession, with potentially damaging consequences.

"If you're thronging all your energy into just one woman, you're setting yourself up for heartbreak and disappointment," she said. "One minute, you're enjoying the connection, and the next, you're rearranging your whole schedule to accommodate her. You may think you're being dedicated, but in reality, you're losing yourself."

Jessica cautioned men against neglecting their own lives and personal standards in the pursuit of a single relationship.

"Focusing too much on her too soon blinds you to everything else. You begin to ignore your own needs, your personal life, and even your standards. Yes, I said it—your standards disappear."

She also pointed out that women can sense when a man is overly invested, which can disrupt the balance in a relationship.

"Women can tell when you're overly attached. When you're constantly chasing someone, it's no longer a relationship—it's you chasing someone who hasn't even committed," she explained.

Jessica further warned men not to elevate women to unrealistic levels, cautioning them against losing their sense of self in the process.

"When you give her the power to control your emotions, happiness, and self-worth, all because you've focused so intensely on one woman, you're losing sight of yourself," she said. "Every moment spent obsessing over her is another moment you're drifting away from your own goals and your life."

Reflecting on the emotional toll, Jessica highlighted the pain that often follows such situations.

"When things don’t go as you hope, it hurts. You start questioning yourself—why isn’t she responding? What did I do wrong? Why doesn’t she feel the same way?"

Her blunt advice has sparked online debates, with some agreeing that balance in relationships is key, while others have criticized her approach as overly cautious.
