Eugen Arhin Debunks Kevin Taylor's Allegations

Eugen Arhin Denounces Kevin Taylor’s Baseless Accusations

Eugen Arhin Addressing the Media

The Allegations: A Storm of Controversy

In a recent video posted on his Loud Silence platform, Kevin Taylor accused Ghana's President Nana Akufo-Addo of owning multiple properties in the UK. Taylor's claims included a property at 75 Nottingham Terrace in London, alleged to have been purchased for £3.35 million. This accusation has sparked heated debates and widespread curiosity among Ghanaians.

Eugen Arhin’s Firm Response

Eugen Arhin, Director of Communications at the Presidency, quickly refuted Taylor's allegations. In a strongly worded statement, Arhin described the claims as “completely false and baseless,” urging the public to treat them with contempt. He emphasized that these accusations are part of a deliberate campaign to tarnish the President's image.

"These claims should be treated with the utmost contempt," Arhin stated. "They are nothing more than fabrications designed to mislead the public."

Fact-Checking the Claims

Contrary to Taylor’s assertions, the property linked to the Akufo-Addo family is 32 Nottingham Terrace, not 75 Nottingham Terrace. Public records show that 32 Nottingham Terrace is associated with Edward Akufo-Addo (the President’s younger brother) and his wife, Irene. The property was purchased for £350,000, significantly less than the £3.35 million Taylor claimed.

Arhin further clarified that the President does not own any property in the UK, a fact verifiable through the UK’s Land Registry. “A simple check will confirm that none of these properties belong to President Akufo-Addo,” he said.

The Role of Stratton Enterprise Holding Limited

Kevin Taylor also mentioned Stratton Enterprise Holding Limited, alleging that the company is owned by President Akufo-Addo. Arhin dismissed this claim as well, categorically stating that the President has no connection to the company.

"President Akufo-Addo has no knowledge of this company, let alone own it," Arhin affirmed, labeling the accusations as malicious and without foundation.

The Bigger Picture: Distracting the Public?

Arhin lamented the spread of such falsehoods, especially during a time when Ghana’s focus should be on development and unity. He reiterated the President's lifelong dedication to serving the people with honesty and integrity.

Why This Matters

Such allegations, even when baseless, have the potential to create public distrust. It underscores the importance of fact-checking and critical analysis before accepting claims made in the media. This incident also highlights the increasing role of social media personalities in shaping public opinion, often without accountability.
