KK Fosu Celebrates 25 Years in Music with Nostalgic Concert


Last Saturday, Ghanaian Highlife icon KK Fosu commemorated a remarkable 25 years in the music industry with a memorable concert held at the Bayview Hotel in Accra. Fans and enthusiasts of Highlife music gathered to honor the celebrated artist whose career has been punctuated by timeless hits and an enduring legacy. The event was a blend of music, storytelling, and star-studded moments, making it an unforgettable celebration of Ghanaian music culture.


The evening began with a spectacular entrance as KK Fosu was led to the stage by Reggie Rockstone, often regarded as the "Godfather of Hiplife." Together, they reminisced about their collaboration on the award-winning song “Fa Me Bone Kye Me,” sharing the creative process behind the classic track that continues to resonate with fans. Dressed in an elegant combination of traditional and contemporary Ghanaian attire, KK Fosu performed some of his greatest hits, including “Anadwo Yede,” “Odo Nti,” and “6 O’clock.” The audience enthusiastically sang along, reliving cherished memories from his music catalog. The night reached a magical peak when KK Fosu invited legendary Highlife singer Pat Thomas to join him on stage. Their duet on the beloved song “Odo De Da Me” captivated the audience, with Pat Thomas, known as the “Golden Voice of Africa,” mesmerizing attendees with his flawless vocals.


The celebration attracted several prominent figures, adding a touch of glamour to the night. Notable attendees included Pappy Kojo, Bessa Simons, Abeiku Santana, and media personality Delay. KK Fosu expressed his profound gratitude to his fans and supporters for their unwavering loyalty over the years. He dedicated special performances to key figures, including Dr. Manfred Takyi, CEO of Joy Daddy Industries, for supporting the event.
