STUDENT LEADERSHIP PETITIONS FOR RENEWAL OF PRINCIPAL’S TENURE

The student leadership together with past seniors of St. John Bosco's College of Education has formally petitioned the college's governing council to renew the tenure of their esteemed principal, Professor Joseph Amikuzuno, citing his exceptional achievements and transformative leadership over the past four years.

 



Under Professor Amikuzuno’s guidance, the college has witnessed remarkable progress in multiple areas, including infrastructure development, academic innovation, community engagement, and spiritual enrichment. His tenure has not only elevated the institution’s standards but also significantly impacted the welfare of students, staff, and the broader community.

 

Some Key Contributions of Professor Amikuzuno

 

The petition highlights several notable accomplishments of the principal, emphasizing his unwavering commitment to the college’s growth:

 

1. Enhanced Campus Security: Construction of a perimeter fence wall to ensure the safety of the college community.

 

2. Community Harmony: Resolving a 42-year-old land dispute and fostering robust relationships with the local community.

 

3. Academic Excellence: Introduction of new academic programs and initiatives like plug-in classes and rural-based STS.

 

 

4. Infrastructure Development: Completion of long-awaited projects, including an auditorium and classroom blocks.

 

 

5. Spiritual and Cultural Enrichment: Establishment of faith-centered facilities like Casa Maria Hall and statues symbolizing the college’s Catholic values.


6. Establishment of Bosco's Model JHS of which the first group is yet to complete.
