Prophet Kumchacha, a self-proclaimed Public Relations Officer for pastors in Ghana, has sparked controversy with a bold statement during an interview on Angel FM's "Okatakyie Afrifa" show. The outspoken pastor claimed that he would rather watch a pornographic film than sit through a Ghana Black Stars football match. His comment has ignited a firestorm of reactions on social media and among listeners, with many questioning his reasoning and whether he was serious.

Explaining his preference, Kumchacha expressed that watching the Black Stars could negatively impact one's health, particularly due to the frustration and emotional distress often associated with the team’s underwhelming performances. He pointed out that the emotional toll of watching the Black Stars play, with the disappointment and tension that often follows their losses, could lead to high blood pressure. Kumchacha criticized the team for its recent poor form, suggesting that the Black Stars have consistently failed to deliver results, which has contributed to a decline in their reputation.

The controversial pastor went on to say that he has "no shock absorbers" to deal with the emotional strain that comes with supporting the Black Stars. He implied that the stress of watching the team play was simply not worth it. Instead, he declared that he would rather watch a pornographic movie, claiming it would be less emotionally taxing than enduring the Black Stars' often frustrating matches.

The statement left both the host of the show, Okatakyie Afrifa, and the other panelists stunned, as they initially thought Kumchacha was joking. However, the pastor stood by his remarks, insisting that he was serious. His unapologetic stance has only fueled the debate, with many questioning his priorities and whether the comment was intended to grab attention or reflect a deeper dissatisfaction with the Black Stars and Ghana's sports culture.

Since the interview, Kumchacha’s comment has dominated conversations, with people weighing in on social media, criticizing his controversial statement, while others have found his remarks amusing or refreshing. It’s unclear whether Kumchacha’s intention was purely to make a point about the state of Ghanaian football, or if it was a deliberate attempt to stir up conversation. Regardless, the backlash has highlighted the increasing frustrations some fans feel about the Black Stars' lackluster performances and the broader challenges facing Ghanaian football.
