Former Ghanaian assistant coach George Boateng has shared high praise for Thomas Partey and Mohammed Kudus, two standout players for the Black Stars. Boateng, who worked closely with both players in the lead-up to the 2022 World Cup and during the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), reflected on their unique qualities both on and off the pitch. He acknowledged that while Partey and Kudus play different roles—Partey as a defensive midfielder and Kudus as an attacking player—both possess exceptional skills that contribute to their teams’ success. However, Boateng emphasized that before discussing their footballing abilities, he wanted to highlight the admirable character traits of both players.

Boateng described Thomas Partey as not only a crucial player for Arsenal but also as a wonderful human being. He praised Partey’s charitable efforts in Ghana, noting his commitment to giving back to his community. Boateng also commended Partey for his professional demeanor, stating that the midfielder is respectful toward coaches and teammates alike. On the field, Boateng highlighted Partey’s immense value to Arsenal, pointing out that the team performs noticeably worse in his absence. He also emphasized Partey’s versatility, being able to function as both a defensive and holding midfielder, showcasing his all-around footballing intelligence and leadership.

Turning his attention to Mohammed Kudus, Boateng expressed admiration for the West Ham United attacker’s skill set. He regarded Kudus as one of the most creative attacking players Ghana has produced in recent years. Boateng highlighted Kudus’ technical ability, his strong dribbling, and physical prowess. While the 23-year-old is known for his talent on the field, Boateng noted that Kudus is also a humble and reserved individual, which only adds to his appeal. Boateng expressed confidence that Kudus will continue to develop into one of the leading footballers in the country, recognizing his potential to contribute significantly to Ghana’s footballing future.
