Job Description:
Successful candidates will contribute to and lead various safety committees, including the Joint Health and Safety Committee (JHSC), Incident Reduction Committee, and Ergonomics Committee. You will analyze safety data, report trends, and identify areas for improvement.
Additionally, you will develop and execute the site’s annual Workplace Safety Business Plan Development (BPD) action plans. Training will also be a crucial part of your role, as you will provide safety training to both new and existing employees.
Requirements:
To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following criteria:
Education: A bachelor’s degree in a related field.
Experience: At least two years in Industrial Hygiene, Ergonomics, or Workplace Safety.
Knowledge: A solid understanding of the Occupational Health and Safety Act of Ontario.
Skills: Strong initiative and interpersonal skills to work effectively with teams.
Project Management: The ability to handle multiple assignments and manage time effectively.
