Popular actress Shaffy Bello recently shared her thoughts on the impact of technology on young Nigerians during her appearance on actress Tope Olowoniyan’s talk show. Bello expressed concern about the way technology is influencing the younger generation.

She commented, "The younger ones are missing out in many ways. They are becoming too absorbed by technology—the very same technology that is supposed to make life easier. But, if not used properly, it can also be harmful."
Although she acknowledged she might not know every detail of what young people experience, she shared that she has a general understanding of their struggles. "I may not know everything young people are going through, but I have a sense of it. I have a 28-year-old daughter and a 26-year-old son, so I understand what they face. They don’t tell me everything, but I can pick up on things. I also engage with many actors, which gives me a sense of their experiences."
Reflecting on the challenges of growing up today compared to her youth, Bello remarked, "It’s much harder to be alive now than it was when we were growing up."
Shaffy Bello was raised in the United States where she completed her education. She is a Nigerian film actress and singer. Her first major film was Eti Keta, a Yoruba film.
She first shot into the entertainment scene when she featured vocals in a 1997 hit song by Seyi Sodimu titled "Love Me Jeje". She was married to Mr. Akinrimisi from 1995 until 2020.
