Major incidents have been declared in Lincolnshire and Leicestershire, where heavy rains caused severe flooding on Monday, leading to the rescue of dozens of people.
In Leicestershire, firefighters responded to hundreds of calls and rescued 59 people. In Lincolnshire, 50 children were evacuated from Edenham Primary School, near Bourne, after floodwaters cut off access to the school. Volunteer drivers in 4x4 vehicles transported the children to safety.

Nearly 200 flood warnings have been issued across England, including a severe warning in Leicestershire for the River Soar, which prompted large-scale evacuations near Barrow upon Soar due to life-threatening conditions.
The UK is also facing disruption from snow and ice, with yellow weather warnings issued for Northern Ireland, parts of Scotland and Wales, and northwest and southwest England, lasting until Tuesday morning.
The cold and wet conditions caused significant travel disruption on Monday, affecting roads, railways, and airports. In Leicestershire, crews assisted residents from flooded homes and rescued drivers trapped in their vehicles. The county council reported attending to 160 flood-related incidents.
In Lincolnshire, 16 additional residents from Billingborough, near Bourne, were rescued and temporarily housed in a village hall.
Authorities continue to monitor the situation as communities deal with the aftermath of severe weather across the UK.
