TOTTENHAM'S STRUGGLES WOULD EVEN STIFLE SALAH'S BRILLIANCE - POSTECOGLOU

Tottenham Hotspur manager Ange Postecoglou believes that even a world-class player like Mohamed Salah would struggle to excel in his current team. Salah, who has been in phenomenal form for Liverpool this season, scoring 21 goals in 27 appearances, would find it challenging to replicate his success at Tottenham, according to Postecoglou.

The Australian manager's comments come ahead of Tottenham's Carabao Cup semi-final clash against Liverpool on Wednesday. Tottenham has been struggling lately, losing three and drawing one of their last four matches, including a 6-3 defeat to Liverpool on December 22. Salah scored twice in that game, and Postecoglou acknowledges his admiration for the Egyptian forward.

"Mo Salah is an unbelievable player, but I think even he would struggle to make an impact in our team right now," Postecoglou said. "We're not creating enough opportunities, we're not playing on the front foot, and our defense is not cohesive. These are the things that allow a player like Salah to thrive."

Postecoglou's comments are not meant to diminish Salah's abilities but rather to highlight the challenges his team is facing. He also drew comparisons between Salah and Tottenham's own star player, Son Heung-min. While Salah has been enjoying a phenomenal season, Son's form has been somewhat inconsistent, with seven goals in all competitions.

"I think Son Heung-min is a fantastic player, but he's not getting the same level of service that Salah is getting at Liverpool," Postecoglou explained. "If you put Son in Liverpool's team, I think his goalscoring return would be decent. It's hard for our players right now, they're trying their best, but we're not giving them the platform to succeed."

Tottenham's struggles have been well-documented, and Postecoglou is under pressure to turn things around. The Australian manager is confident that his team can improve, but it will require a collective effort. Even a player of Salah's caliber would struggle to make a significant impact in the current team, according to Postecoglou.
