To address the immediate challenge of feeding secondary school students, President Mahama directed the Chief of Staff to collaborate with the Ghana Education Service. They will assess and distribute food supplies stored in warehouses in Tema, which were imported by the previous government in response to last year's drought. This temporary measure ensures that education continues without disruption.
In addition to these immediate measures, President Mahama announced plans to convene a National Education Review Conference. This conference will bring together key stakeholders to engage in dialogue, identify challenges, and find solutions to ensure the delivery of quality education for all students.
