Crossbow killer admits murdering mum and daughters.
Carol Hunt, Hannah Hunt, and Louise Hunt were killed in their home in Bushey, near Watford.
Kyle Clifford, 26, from Enfield, north London, has admitted to murdering his ex-girlfriend Louise Hunt, 25, her sister Hannah Hunt, 28, and their mother Carol Hunt, 61, in a brutal attack at their family home in Bushey, near Watford, on 9 July.
Kyle Clifford was found in a cemetery in north London with injuries to his chest following a manhunt.
Carol Hunt was fatally stabbed, while Hannah and Louise suffered deadly crossbow bolt injuries. Hannah managed to call Hertfordshire Police, reporting that she had been shot and feared for her life, as her sister and mother had also been attacked. Officers arrived at 19:10 BST to find Hannah still alive in the doorway. Louise was found bound with duct tape, and Carol had multiple stab wounds to her knee, hands, back, and torso.
Carol Hunt's widower John Hunt previously said the family's devastation "cannot be put into words"
The attack, which occurred in a quiet cul-de-sac, prompted a manhunt. Clifford was later found injured in Lavender Hill Cemetery, Enfield, after shooting himself in the chest with the crossbow.
The attack took place at the family home in Ashlyn Close in the Hertfordshire town.
Clifford, who served in the military for three years starting in 2019, initially denied the murders but changed his pleas during a hearing at Cambridge Crown Court. He also pleaded guilty to false imprisonment and possession of an offensive weapon. However, he denied a charge of raping Louise Hunt and is set to stand trial for that later this year.
The victims were the wife and daughters of BBC racing commentator John Hunt. In a statement issued by Mr. Hunt and his surviving daughter Amy, the family said: "The devastation we are experiencing cannot be put into words."
