On Sunday, 2Baba shared an Instagram post revealing that he and Annie had been separated for some time and were now in the process of filing for divorce, ending their 12-year marriage.
In response to the video 2Baba posted on Instagram, where he admitted to making the public divorce announcement, Toke criticized him, saying, “This is wrong on all levels, and you should be ashamed of yourself for bringing this here. Bring it on. If you think she’s alone, let me tell you that you’ll have to fight all of us.”
Toke didn’t hold back her frustration, taking to her Instagram story to address those who were staying neutral on the issue. She wrote, “I’m not one for too much talk, but what is wrong is wrong. As a woman, if you sit on the fence on this, if it misses you, it’ll touch your daughter or any female in your family.
“No one is innocent, and if you want to bring the media into it, knowing what is happening, we will fight for her.”
Unwavering, Toke shared another Instagram story on Monday, questioning why 2Baba chose to air the divorce details publicly. She emphasized that the full truth will eventually come to light.
“Nobody is asking anyone to stay in a situation that’s no longer serving them; by all means, leave if you must, but why bring this online now?
“We know what’s happening behind closed doors. The world doesn’t know anything; it’s already been chaotic with opinions flying around. When I say we will fight for her, I’m not talking about the general public.
“A few people know the truth, and time will tell. Timing is everything; empathy is everything. You preach love constantly; you can’t contribute to the narrative that’s out there when you know what’s happening behind closed doors,” she said.
