Gospel music artist Mercy Chinwo has accused her former manager, Ezekiel Onyedikachukwu (also known as Eezee Tee), of exploiting her, making threats to her safety, and spreading false information regarding the paternity of her child.
This accusation comes amid an ongoing dispute between Chinwo and Eezee Tee.
In an Instagram video posted on Tuesday, Chinwo did not directly name Eezee Tee, but she shared that he had threatened her life and forced her to leave Lagos and relocate to Port Harcourt, Rivers State.
She recounted, “A man claimed I sued him, went online to tarnish my image, and said, ‘I made you who you are, and I’ll destroy you.’ That statement terrified me, and I had no choice but to move from Lagos to Port Harcourt because he made the environment unbearable for me.”
Chinwo went on to describe the emotional toll of enduring bullying and threats, adding, “What he’s doing on social media now is nothing compared to what I’ve already been through.”
The singer also claimed her former manager spread false rumours about the paternity of her child out of personal animosity toward Pastor Nathaniel Bassey.
She said, “One of my major offences was collaborating with Pastor Nathaniel Bassey on a song. Because he has a personal issue with Pastor Bassey, he went as far as funding fake news about my son, saying he wasn’t mine. He paid bloggers to spread this lie. And because he doesn’t like Pastor Jerry Eze, he tried to stop me from attending his events too. Why should I fight your battles when I don’t even know why you dislike them? And when I ask, you start harassing me.”
