Nigerian artist Temilade Openiyi, better known as Tems, has won the Best African Music Performance award at the 67th Grammy Awards.
She claimed the honour with her track Love Me JeJe, beating out fellow nominees: Tomorrow by Yemi Alade, MMS by Asake featuring Wizkid, Sensational by Chris Brown featuring Davido and Lojay, and Higher by Burna Boy.
This marks Tems’ second Grammy win. In 2024, South African artist Tyla took home the award for her hit Water, marking the first edition of this category.
Tems received three nominations at this year's ceremony, bringing her total Grammy nominations to eight. In addition to Best African Music Performance, she was nominated for Best Global Music Album for Born in the Wild and Best R&B Song for Burning.
The 67th Grammy Awards were held on Sunday at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles.

Meanwhile: Actor Chike Daniel has expressed his preference for playing the lover boy role, stating that it suits him better.
In an interview with Saturday Beats, he said, "I prefer to play the lover boy. It feels like a natural fit for me. I also tend to portray positive characters, which allows me to showcase the loving and caring nature of an average Nigerian man to the world."
Known for his romantic roles, Daniel also reflected on his journey into Nollywood.
