Nollywood actress Funke Akindele has playfully reminded her fans that the N1.8 billion box office earnings from her latest film, Everybody Loves Jenifa, aren’t all hers to keep.
Encouraging fans to keep supporting the movie to hit a new milestone of N2 billion, Akindele acknowledged the N1.8 billion but clarified that the money is shared with various stakeholders.
In a post on X.com on Saturday, she wrote, “I beg no be only me get the 1.8 billion o! Cinema go collect, tax go collect, distributor go collect!”
She added, “Maybe when I get to 2Bnaira, I fit settle. So pls go see #eljthemovie in cinemas and take us to 2 billion naira. Thank you.”
Meanwhile: Nigerian singer Temilade Openiyi, popularly known as Tems, was one of the winners at the 67th Grammy Awards held on Sunday at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, USA.
