A Mercedes Benz A140 was destroyed by fire on Friday morning at the Ahodwo Roundabout in Kumasi.

The incident occurred during the busy Friday morning rush hour at the traffic intersection.

The car’s owner and driver, Attobra Kyeremateng, who was the only occupant, told JoyNews that the fire started 30 minutes after he left home. He noticed sparks beneath the vehicle and pulled over in an attempt to put out the flames. However, the engine quickly caught fire.

“I noticed some smoke while driving. I stopped to check, but the smoke had stopped. After driving for another five minutes, I saw smoke again. I stopped to use the fire extinguisher to try to control the fire under the car, but it couldn’t put out the flames,” he explained.

Firefighters arrived shortly afterwards, but the vehicle was beyond saving.

The car was covered by third-party insurance.

“In everything, we should give thanks to God... God saved me, and for that, I am grateful,” Mr. Kyeremateng said.

Meanwhile: Finding one’s career path is often a long journey that unfolds over many years—sometimes decades. Yet, for three-year-old Nancy Owusu, destiny seems to have woven itself effortlessly into her tiny hands.

At such a young age, Nancy has already captured the world’s attention with her incredible talent for hair braiding—a skill her parents believe is a natural gift.

When a news crew visited her, Nancy was hard at work, braiding hair with remarkable focus and skill. Her ability to twist and weave the strands so expertly has left the people of Tabere, a small community along the Kumasi-Sunyani road, utterly amazed.

Her journey began one afternoon after returning from school.

Her mother, Amina Yakubu, recalls that Nancy had been insistent about wanting to braid hair alongside them. “A month and a half ago, when she returned from school, she kept asking me to let her join us in braiding. At first, I didn’t think much of it, but when she woke up from her nap and insisted on helping, I was amazed by how well she braided,” Amina said. Continue here....
