Kpassa chief pledges support for Mahama’s choice of DCEIn the recent controversy over the selection of Metropolitan, Municipal, and District Chief Executives (MMDCEs), Ubor Konja Tassan VI of Nkwanta North in the Oti Region has expressed his unwavering support for whoever the government selects as the District Chief Executive (DCE).

His statement comes at a crucial time when the community is anticipating the appointment of a new DCE, a position that plays a vital role in local governance and development.

Speaking with Adom News, the chief emphasized the importance of unity and collaboration among the various ethnic groups in the district.

He condemned the recent tribal comments made by some members of the Konkomba community, describing them as divisive and detrimental to the progress of Nkwanta North.

According to him, the appointment of a DCE should not be a source of division, but rather, the government’s choice must be supported regardless of tribe and individual preferences.

He highlighted that the new DCE would require the backing of all stakeholders to effectively implement policies and drive development initiatives.

The chief urged all residents to rise above tribal affiliations and come together for the common good of the district.

Meanwhile, in a turn of events, several members of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) have publicly condemned the attack on Regional Chairman Gyapong John Kudjo and the vetting committee.

The incident, which has sparked outrage within the party in Nkwanta North, saw accusations directed at the sitting Member of Parliament, John Oti Bless, for allegedly sponsoring the aggression.

Party loyalists are calling for unity and respect for internal processes, emphasizing the importance of maintaining decorum within the party.

They warned the MP against interfering in the selection of a DCE, cautioning that such actions could fuel conflict among ethnic groups in the area. Please follow me for more detail and drop your comments
