Sean “Diddy” Combs has publicly expressed his gratitude to Kanye West after West advocated for his release from detention.
On Thursday night, West posted a series of messages on X, tagging former US President Donald Trump and calling for intervention, saying, “Please free my brother to puff.”
West also shared plans for a potential Yeezy clothing collaboration with Combs’ Sean John brand, stating, “I’m selling a Sean John collaboration that my brother and I talked about before they locked him up. We’re splitting the profits 50/50.”
In response, Combs’ Instagram account, believed to be managed by his family, posted on Friday with a screenshot of West’s message and the caption, “Thank you to my brother @Ye,” along with a link to the Yeezy website.
Combs has been detained at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, New York, since his arrest last year on charges such as sex trafficking, racketeering, and prostitution. The hip-hop mogul has pleaded not guilty to the sex trafficking charges and has been denied bail.
Meanwhile: Nine associates of popular singer Habeeb Okikiola, also known as Portable, were arraigned on Thursday before a Magistrates’ Court in Isabo, Abeokuta, accused of assaulting officers from the Ota Zonal Planning Office of the Ministry of Physical Planning and Urban Development.
The accused individuals are Nurudeen Warris (21), Adetola Alashe (25), Samuel Adeleke (28), Oluwaseun Ayenuwa (19), Oluwapelumi Adeosun (20), Gospel Kanu (20), Precious Ohiegebo (19), Ifeoluwa Babatunde (27), and Fatimo Muhammed (26).
They faced a five-count charge including felony, assault, obstruction, armed with cutlasses and guns, engaging in conduct likely to cause a breach of peace, and attempting to kill. All defendants pleaded not guilty to the charges.
