The Edo State House of Assembly was taken by surprise on Monday when music icon Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2face or 2Baba, made an unexpected appearance during a plenary session.
The incident unfolded amidst ongoing rumours about his alleged romantic involvement with Assemblymember Natasha Osawaru, following his separation from his wife, Annie Idibia.
A video circulating on social media captured the excitement of the crowd as 2Baba entered the Assembly complex. In the footage, the singer was seen sitting among a group of people, attempting to stay out of the spotlight while fans and onlookers gathered around, eager to catch a glimpse of the star.
The voiceover in the video excitedly announced, “Guys, 2face just entered the Edo State House Assembly, and it’s causing a stir everywhere. 2face is in the Edo State House of Assembly right now.”
The surprise appearance follows 2Baba’s divorce announcement in January, after which social media blogger Cutie Juls claimed that Osawaru was his new romantic partner.
However, Osawaru has since denied the allegations through her spokesperson, Eseosa Okundia, calling the rumours “false and baseless.” The statement referred to the claims as “a fallacy at its peak” and urged the public to disregard the speculation.
Meanwhile: Ekiti-based Nigerian chef, Damilola Adeparusi, widely known as Chef Dammy, has officially begun her professional culinary journey at the Hospitality Business School (HBS) in Lagos.
Chef Dammy, who gained widespread attention for her cook-a-thon challenge in June 2023, is now pursuing a Professional Culinary Art Chef diploma on a full scholarship, as announced by the school, which is owned by Horecabb Mentors.
