AC Milan coach Sergio Conceicao has called for calm and composure after his team's disappointing 1-0 defeat to Feyenoord in the Champions League. The loss, courtesy of Igor Paixao's goal, puts Milan at a disadvantage ahead of the second leg at San Siro.

Conceicao acknowledged that Feyenoord's aggression and home advantage played a significant role in the outcome. "You win games with duels, aggression, and Feyenoord had all those ingredients tonight," he said in a post-match interview. However, he also emphasized that Milan should have done more to capitalize on their chances.

"We had some good opportunities, but we didn't take them. We have to be more clinical in front of goal," Conceicao said. "But we can't be too hard on ourselves. We played a good game, but we didn't get the result we wanted."

The coach's message of calm is likely aimed at reassuring his players and fans that the tie is far from over. With the second leg scheduled for next week, Milan will have the opportunity to turn things around on their home turf.

"We have to stay calm and focused. We can't let our heads drop. We have to believe in ourselves and our abilities," Conceicao said. "We'll work hard in training and prepare for the second leg. We'll give it our all and try to get the result we need."

Rafael Leao, Milan's attacker, echoed Conceicao's sentiments, admitting that Feyenoord's aggression caught them off guard. "We did not have the same grit and aggression that Feyenoord did," Leao said. However, he also expressed confidence that Milan can bounce back in the second leg.

"We'll learn from our mistakes and come back stronger. We'll give it our all and try to win the second leg," Leao said.

Despite the setback, Conceicao remains optimistic about his team's chances. He highlighted the importance of learning from their mistakes and raising their level of performance. With key players like Christian Pulisic, Joao Felix, and Santiago Gimenez at his disposal, Conceicao will be hoping to unleash a more potent attack in the second leg.

As Milan prepares for the return leg, Conceicao's call for calm will be crucial in maintaining focus and composure. With the Champions League title still within reach, Milan will need to regroup and produce a stronger performance to overcome Feyenoord's advantage.
