Prophet Oduro Slams NDC Over Raid On Ken Ofori Atta's Home, Calls For Respect And Legal Process
Prophet Kofi Oduro, the founder and leader of Alabaster International Ministry, has issued a strong warning to members of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and those responsible for the raid on Ken Ofori-Atta’s residence.
During a sermon on Sunday, Prophet Oduro condemned the attack, describing it as an irrational and reckless action. He criticized the perpetrators, stating that Ghanaians did not elect the NDC to engage in unlawful break-ins.
According to him, Ken Ofori-Atta has dedicated years of service to Ghana and deserves respect, not such treatment. He stressed that Ofori-Atta is a father with a family and should be given the dignity he deserves. Rather than raiding his home like a criminal, the proper approach would be to allow him to defend himself legally.
"You have the authority to bring Ken Ofori-Atta back to Ghana, whether he is ill or not. So, who are these troublemakers that stormed his house? We must act like a civilized society. You were not voted into power to invade people’s homes. Put an end to this nonsense," Prophet Oduro declared.
This reaction follows reports that on February 11, 2025, a group of individuals—some dressed as military and police officers—forcefully entered the residence of former Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta in Cantonments, Accra, while he was abroad for medical treatment.
The Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP) denied any involvement, suggesting that the incident was orchestrated to tarnish their ongoing investigation into Ofori-Atta. In response, the Majority in Parliament apologized to the former minister, with Majority Leader Mahama Ayariga expressing regret over the situation and reaffirming the government’s commitment to upholding citizens’ rights.
