Lawyer Samuel Sarfo Duku, a spokesman for Asante Kotoko, has given an update on the ongoing legal battle to bring Francis "Nana Pooley" Frimpong justice.

The Porcupine Warriors are still working to get the fans justice, and on Monday, February 17, the parties to the murder case showed up in court.

A sad stabbing in Nsoatre during Kotoko's encounter against Nsoatreman on matchday 19 of the Ghana Premier League claimed Pooley's life.

Sarfo Duku told the media after the hearing that the police had found the stabbing perpetrator.

The first three people arrested were Ignatius Baffour-Awuah, his bodyguard, and another individual. Two individuals were granted bail when we first contacted them, but the third was turned down. He stated that his attorney had submitted a bail application today.

"The police claim to have identified the murderer as Brimah in the second case they filed against the six individuals they detained overall. He has been evading capture.

Players and management attended Kotoko's one-week memorial service over the weekend in honor of Pooley, a devoted fan of the team.

GFA is not an issue in my opinion, says Sports Minister Kofi Adams.

To help address the issues affecting football, Kofi Adams, Minister of Sports and Recreation, has promised to collaborate amicably with the Ghana Football Association (GFA).

Football in the nation is currently in decline, as the Black Stars missed out on the AFCON competition for the first time in twenty years after losing to Cameroon and Ivory Coast in the group phase of the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).

However, in an interview with Asempa FM, Mr. Adams stated that he does not consider the Football Association as a problem despite the difficulties, and as a result, he is eager to work on resolving the issues impeding football's advancement in the nation.

"GFA is not an issue in my opinion. My approach will be to view everyone as a solution to our problem," he stated.

Perhaps we have not given it enough of a chance in our approach, and I think that some of the things that have been done in the past will not be done again.

"We will participate, and the public will be informed of the outcome," he continued.

Ahead of the 2026 World Cup qualifying matches against Chad and Madagascar next month, Kofi Adams will meet with the Ghana Football Association (GFA) this week.
