Nollywood actress and filmmaker Temidayo Babatunde has stressed that beauty alone is not sufficient for success in the film industry.
In an interview with Saturday Beats, Babatunde acknowledged the significance of physical appearance but emphasized that talent is essential for long-term success.
"Beauty alone isn't enough. While beauty is important, talent is equally vital because it opens doors and allows you to sit with kings and queens. Talent and beauty complement each other, and neither can stand alone," she said.
Discussing the role of social media in her career, she noted, "Social media has been a powerful tool with its influence. While it has its advantages, it also comes with its drawbacks, and I've experienced both sides."
"Social media has allowed me to share my work and connect with fans globally. I’m truly grateful for the positive response I’ve received so far," she added.
Babatunde also shared her aspirations as a woman, stating that her ultimate goal is to have her own family, lead a happy, fulfilling life, reach greater heights and gain global recognition in her career.
The filmmaker, who has produced seven movies including Twist of Fate, Ife Ojiji, Ife Fun Ife, Aseoluwa, Karahun (Greed), and Ipa (Force)—the latter of which is set for release soon—highlighted that her versatility and dedication to her craft have been key drivers of her growth in the industry.
