The Reaction Unit Of South Africa (RUSA) rushed to a bush in Verulam, a town north of Durban, after receiving reports of a baby crying and presumed abandoned.
The distress call, originally from Ireland Street in the Verulam CBD, suggested a child had been left alone.
This prompted an immediate response from the emergency team.
Upon arriving at the scene, however, RUSA officers found the abandoned infant.
They also stumbled upon the baby’s parents engaged in hardcore sezz just a few meters away within the dense bush.
Meanwhile, the couple clarified that the child was not deserted; rather, its cries had gone unnoticed amid the couple’s encounter.
The incident has sparked widespread reactions, with many condemning the invasion of privacy while others criticize the students for their lack of discretion.
University authorities have yet to comment on the matter, but discussions regarding privacy and ethical behavior on campus continue to trend.
