James Brown, the well-known crossdresser, has temporarily returned to his male identity, citing financial struggles as the reason behind his decision. The social media personality took to Instagram on Friday to ask for assistance, explaining that his current difficulties have forced him to pause his feminine lifestyle.
In his post, James Brown wrote, "Many people have been asking me, James, is it true you need help? Yes, I do. I need all the ads and promotions. I've decided to go back to being a boy for now."
The internet sensation also shared his aspirations of furthering his education, revealing that he requires about 30 million naira for tuition—excluding living expenses and food. "I've reached out to some friends. If you'd like to support, nothing is too small," he urged his followers.
In a follow-up caption, Brown appealed for understanding and support, urging followers not to mock his situation. "Don't laugh at someone who's trying to get everything together to go back to school," he wrote.
His post generated a range of reactions from netizens, with some offering support while others criticized him.
Instagram user Lorlah questioned the need to study abroad, suggesting, "You can study in Nigeria, we have good schools here. Why spend over 50 million just to study in the UK?" Kween Mimi shared similar thoughts, adding, "Cut your coat according to your size. Must you go to school in the UK? What happened to Unilag or Uniben?" Teacher Grins also chimed in, advising, "Get a job, start a business. That’s what regular people are doing."
On the other hand, Treasure Daniel expressed surprise at his decision, writing, "You’ve turned into a boy? What were you before?" Abaya Gold responded with sarcasm, saying, "Now you see being a girl child is not easy, go and work." Fleaky Susan gave blunt advice, stating, "Go and hustle like the man you are."
In the meantime: Seyi Tinubu, the son of President Bola Tinubu, has praised his father as Nigeria’s most exceptional leader.
In a video that gained widespread attention on Monday, Seyi made this declaration while addressing a group of young people in Yola, the capital of Adamawa State.
“It was never about politics, yet they keep attacking me, targeting my family, and coming after your father, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the greatest president in Nigeria’s history,” he stated.
Seyi also highlighted his father’s leadership, underscoring his dedication to empowering youth and fostering economic growth.
“He’s the only president who has kept your people at home, from his time as governor to when he became president. He is the only president who prioritizes the youth, the only one who created a platform for young people to succeed,” he said.
“The only president who has built an economy that benefits everyone, the only one who isn’t trying to enrich himself,” Seyi added.
In addition to his speeches, Tinubu has been actively involved in distributing food supplies during his visits to northern states. Continue with the rest of the story here.
