It was midnight, but Sheena still hadnt e. H er family had called all her friends, but no one knew where she was. They even contacted her boss, who said that Sheena hadnt come to work that day, even though she had left home at 8 AM as usual. She was supposed to return by 8 PM, but her phone was switched off.

Her parents, brother, and sister were all extremely worried. Her brother even went to the police station, but they told him to wait 24 hours before filing a missing person report. Fear and anxiety gripped the entire family as they worried about the worst.

The next morning, Sheenas brother and father went to the police station again and officially filed a report, but no action was taken by the evening. Suddenly, Sheenas brother received a call from her number. He answered anxiously.

Hello, Sheena Where are you What happened Are you okay he asked, bombarding her with questions.

A voice from the other end said, Yes, brother, I am fine.

Where are you You didnt come home last night! he asked angrily.

Nothing, brother. I am fine. I will come home soon, she replied and abruptly hung up the phone.

Her brother tried calling back, but the number was now out of coverage.

Her mother, panicked, asked, What happened Why did she hang up This girl is making us so worried!

Her father asked, Is she okay

Yes, Papa. She said she will be home soon, her brother replied.

Her father sighed in relief, At least she is safe.

But her brother was still suspicious.

The night passed, but Sheena did not return.

At 10 AM, a message came from Sheenas WhatsApp:

*Sorry, Mom and Dad. I got married. Please dont try to find me. I dont want to come back. Goodbye. Please dont call me.*

Her brother showed the message to everyone, and they all started cursing her. Her father, enraged, took Sheenas photo from the showcase and threw it out of the house.

She has disgraced us! he declared, forbidding anyone from mentioning her name again.

When they checked the house, they found that a gold necklace (10 tolas), a chain (5 tolas), earrings (5 tolas), and ₹20,000 were missing. They realized that Sheena had eloped with a boy. They suspected it was the same boy her father had been rejecting for the past month due to religious differences.

A call came from the police station saying that Sheena had given a statement confirming that she had married of her own free will.

Time passed.

A month later, the news reported that a skeleton had been found inside a suitcase 500 km away. Sheenas family did not take it seriously since they had already disowned her.

But her brother, Raj, felt uneasy when he saw the suitcase on TV. It looked familiar, but he couldnt recall from where.

As more details emerged—the girls age, date of death, and other information—Rajs suspicion grew stronger.

Without telling his family, Raj went to the police station and requested a DNA test.

The results confirmed that the skeleton belonged to Sheena. She had died the same day she left for work at 8 AM, and her death had occurred by 12 PM, according to the forensic report.

But Sheenas call had come the next evening. Her WhatsApp message had arrived the day after.

Raj couldnt understand what was happening.

He didnt tell his family yet. Instead, he made up his mind he would find Sheenas killer. He filed an official FIR, and Inspector Sharma assured him of full support.

Slowly, they traced a man named Rajat.

The police arrested Rajat and interrogated him. Under pressure, he confessed.

Rajat revealed that he and Sheena were friends. One day, he introduced her to his friend Iqbal.

Sheena and Iqbal fell in love and wanted to get married. But due to their religious differences, Sheenas family rejected the match.

Sheena and Iqbal decided to elope.

Rajat, trying to help, let them stay at his empty house for a night.

But after that, he had no idea what had happened to them.

Now, it was clear Iqbal had murdered Sheena.

The police began searching for Iqbal.

Sheenas family was devastated when they learned about her death. The entire neighborhood was talking about it.

A few days later, the police tracked Iqbal down in Uttar Pradesh.

Iqbal was already married with three children.

During interrogation, he confessed everything.

He admitted that he had lured Sheena into running away and had manipulated her into bringing gold and money with her.

But when Sheena found out about his marriage and children, she refused to go with him.

Afraid that she might go back to her family and expose him, Iqbal decided to kill her.

In Rajats house, he brutally murdered Sheena, burned her body with acid, and disposed of it in a suitcase.

To mislead the police and her family, he had forced Sheena to record a voice note in a playful manner before killing her.

After her death, he used her SIM card to send a fake WhatsApp message to her family.

Then, he traveled 500 km away and abandoned the suitcase with her remains before escaping to Uttar Pradesh.

Thanks to Rajs determination, Sheenas murderers were punished.

Iqbal was sentenced to death, and Rajat received a oneyear sentence for unknowingly assisting a murderer.

Sheenas father, filled with regret, put her photo back in their home.

If only we had investigated the boy earlier, our daughter would still be with us today, he lamented.

Thus, Sheena became another tragic victim of a love murder.
