Cina Soul Reveals Ideal Partner, Rules Out Dating Fellow Artistes
Ghanaian singer Cina Soul has opened up about her ideal romantic partner, emphasizing that she prefers to date someone outside the entertainment industry. In an interview with KMJ on Prime Morning, she was asked if she would accept a proposal from a fellow artiste, given that many of her songs explore themes of love and relationships. Cina Soul responded that she would rather be with someone from a different profession, as she believes relationships between artistes can be challenging. “I feel like artiste to artiste is someway. It could work for some people, but for me, I want someone with a different story,” she stated.
Explaining her preference, Cina Soul said she desires a relationship where conversations at home are not always about the music industry. She expressed that dating someone with a different career would bring more variety to their discussions. “I want us to come back home and talk about things like, how was the hospital? How was court? How was the bank? Not every day talking about the studio. We’ll all talk about the same thing, and I just want something different,” she explained. However, she also noted that while her ideal partner may not be in the entertainment industry, they should still have a lively personality and a good vibe that complements hers.
When asked whether dating a professional such as a doctor might become boring, she strongly disagreed, arguing that such relationships could be exciting in their own way. “I don’t think it will be boring. You’ll have so many stories. I think he’ll be like, this person did this, and then I saved a life… I feel it will be very interesting,” she said. Despite being open to dating outside the industry, Cina Soul revealed that she is currently focused on building her music career and is not actively seeking a relationship at the moment. Meanwhile, she has released her debut album, Did I Lie, which features Larger Than Life with Stonebwoy and Too Bad.
