Manchester United may swap striker Rasmus Hojlund for Victor Osimhen this summer, but the Napoli striker is just one of four forwards in mind at Old Trafford as they prepare to do business. Elsewhere at United, Christian Eriksen expects to leave the club but has firm ideas on where he will go, and Dougie Freedman is being lined up for a job in Saudi Arabia after leaving Crystal Palace.
Antonio Conte’s Napoli are ready to offer Rasmus Hojlund a summer return to Serie A - and Victor Osimhen could go to Manchester United as part of the deal.
"Since his £72 million transfer from Atalanta in August 2023, the Danish striker has only scored 13 Premier League goals. "As part of their plan to spend money on transfers before returning to the Champions League next season, Napoli are also targeting forward Hojlund. "Former Chelsea and Spurs boss Conte wants up to seven new players - and another forward to offer competition to Romelu Lukaku."
Manchester United have more strikers on their shortlist than just Victor Osimhen, according to reports in Germany.
The Sun says that in addition to the Nigerian striker, Viktor Gyokeres, Hugo Ekitike and Benjamin Sesko are other options.
The paper states: "Manchester United reportedly have a four-man shortlist of strikers they hope to sign in the summer.
"New United gaffer Ruben Amorim was interested in signing a new frontman in the January window but the club opted against a big-money signing [due] to PSR rules.
"But the Portuguese is set to try to sign a new striker in the summer, with four names, according to Sky Germany, on his wishlist.
"It’s claimed Viktor Gyokeres - who Amorim managed at Sporting Lisbon - is on the four-man list.
Skipper Bruno Fernandes is United's top goalscorer this season having scored 16 times in 44 appearances.

The list is said to be rounded out by Napoli’s Victor Osimhen, who is currently on loan in Turkey with Galatasaray.
Sweden international Gyokores has by far been the most prolific of the quartet this season, bagging a whopping 40 goals in all competitions.
France Under-21 international Ekitike has found the back of the net 19 times this campaign, while Slovenian striker Sesko has 17 goals to his name.
