According to a Spanish report, Harry Kane wants to return to the Premier League, possibly this summer, and Liverpool is thought to be the best team to sign him, according to Monday's Paper Round. Marcus Rashford cannot return to Manchester United, and Tyrone Mings, a defender for Aston Villa, is set to take a board position on the team organizing Euro 2028. The player's personal desire to return to England may make it difficult for the German club to negotiate. Bayern has a solid contractual position thanks to Kane's long-term agreement, but the player's willingness could be crucial if Liverpool make a big push this summer. Manchester United head coach Ruben Amorim will not offer Marcus Rashford a lifeline this summer, the Daily Star reports, with the club’s hierarchy eager to strike a deal with Aston Villa.

Since joining Villa on loan, Rashford has been called up to the England squad, and the Midlands club could pay £60 million to sign the forward. The Star adds: “Rashford joined Villa on loan in January after finding himself ostracised by Amorim. The United manager was less than impressed with Rashford's attitude and axed him from the squad, while the striker made it clear he wanted a new challenge elsewhere.

“Since joining Villa, Rashford has rediscovered some of his best form and love for the game again. But however well he does in the Midlands, it appears there is no way back for Rashford at United.

“Amorim will look to sign a proven goalscorer this summer, and United hope Rashford continues to impress with Villa because it will increase his transfer value. Amorim previously said he allowed Rashford to leave United because the pair didn't see eye-to-eye.”

Kane has been prolific since swapping Tottenham for Bayern in 2023 and this season it seems he is finally inching closer to securing his first-ever major trophy. But if that goal is achieved, perhaps the England captain - who reportedly has a release clause in his contract - may have his sights set on the Premier League and taking Alan Shearer's goalscoring record there.

Kane, whose contract at Bayern runs until 2027, is currently second in the all-time Premier League goals list (213) behind Alan Shearer (260). If the ex-Spurs man went back to England soon, he could overtake the Newcastle United legend.

The likes of Darwin Nunez, Diogo Jota and Luis Diaz have all been linked with a move away from Anfield. Meanwhile, Mohamed Salah is currently set to walk away from the club for free as his contract expires at the end of the 24/25 season.

Liverpool have enjoyed a fine campaign under Arne Slot, who has impressed since replacing the legendary Jurgen Klopp last summer.
