The three goalkeepers selected for the 2026 World Cup qualifiers' Matchday 5 and 6 have received praise from the Black Stars' goalkeepers' trainer, Fatau Dauda.
They invited Benjamin Asare, Jojo Wolacott, and Lawrence Ati-Zigi to play against Madagascar and Chad.
But Benjamin Asare of Hearts of Oak started both games against Chad and Madagascar, replacing regulars Ati-Zigi and Wollacott.
In a social media message following the games, Dauda praised the players for their dedication and mutual support.
"Your mutual support was incredible. Keep it up, and let us proceed. "I hope your remaining games this season go well," Dauda added.
Ghana's Black Stars dominated Chad 5-0 and defeated Madagascar 3-0, with Asare keeping two clean sheets.
Head coach Otto Addo has formally designated Asare as the team's first-choice goalkeeper in recognition of his outstanding achievements.
The Black Stars will reassemble in June for a four-nation competition before facing Mali and Chad in the qualifications' Matchdays 7 and 8.

"We will make the budget for the Black Stars' World Cup qualifying available," Sports Minister Kofi Adams promises.
Kofi Adams, the Minister of Sports and Recreation, has promised the public that the Black Stars' next games against Madagascar and Chad will have a budget.
Expectations were high for Mr. Adams to reveal the budget as Ghana gets ready for Matchdays 5 and 6 of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers, particularly after President John Mahama stressed in his State of the Nation address that financial information for national teams should be transparent.
The MP for the Buem constituency did, however, provide an explanation in an interview for the budget's delay.
Adams assured Ghanaians of the preservation of transparency, notwithstanding the initial concealment.
