Asante Kotoko has managed to make it into the semi finals of the MTN FA cup for the first time in a while. Did fate did not come that easy in their quarter final match against Tema based division one side, True Democracy. A team that really gave Kotoko a run for their money. The equalised very early in the second half after the porcupines took the lead in the second half. This really caused them to start delaying play and also some agitations on the bench leading to their head coach being sent of for decent or foul language. In added time Kwame Poku, the returnee striker found the net for the team to go up by two goals to one. The Porcupines would now face Berekum Chelsea in the semi.

It's Match day in the Bono region of Ghana, where Asante Kotoko is set to play young Apostles in a Ghana premier league, match day 20 midweek fixture. And we're here to give you the starting eleven and a brief of the match ahead. Not forgetting that the Porcupines are on top of the league log with 38 points and closely marked by teams with 37 and 36 points respectively. This afternoon's match is one that has to bring victory, even though the team is missing many players, both to injuries and suspension. Notable ones are justice Blay , wisdom Fernando and Mohammad Camara who would have to wait for a while . It's also important to know that the home side , which is young Apostles, have been a solid team at home this season. Only a few clubs have defeated them there. The head coach in person of Prosper Narteh Ogum has promised a win From the team , even though things are not that perfect for them in this load of matches. The greatest hope of many followers of the king's club, is that the attackers would show up and utilise the opportunities that come their way in the match.
