Nine players may miss Liverpool vs. Everton due to a major headache from Arne Slot.
Arne Slot has a lot to consider over his lineup for Wednesday night's Merseyside Derby between Liverpool and Everton at Anfield due to the international break and injuries.

Due to injuries, Liverpool will be in a difficult position against Everton in the Merseyside Derby. Following a 16-day hiatus following their loss to Newcastle in the Carabao Cup final, Arne Slot's team will play their rivals at Anfield on Wednesday night.

Liverpool has had plenty of time to reflect on their 2-1 loss at Wembley during the international break, and their only goal is now to win the Premier League. With nine games left, including a midweek matchup against Everton, the Reds lead second-place Arsenal by 12 points.

It occurs exactly 49 days after James Tarkowski's spectacular injury-time equaliser for Everton at Goodison Park during the most recent Merseyside Derby. Despite their withdrawals from their respective national teams, Slot is expected to have both Alisson Becker and Ryan Gravenberch available when the international break ended without too much controversy.

Alisson missed Brazil's second World Cup qualifying match after suffering a concussion while playing for the country against Colombia. But after being evaluated by Liverpool's medical experts, the goalie is anticipated to be ready to start against Everton.

Due to a niggle, Gravenberch was left out of the Netherlands team, but he should be able to play against Everton. But with Trent Alexander-Arnold (ankle) and Conor Bradley and Joe Gomez (both hamstring) sidelined due to injury, Slot has a clear problem at right-back.

Alexander-Arnold missed England's victories against Albania and Latvia due to an injury sustained during their 1-0 loss to Paris Saint-Germain on March 11. Although he is anticipated to return later in April, Jarell Quansah should start in his place due to his absence, as well as that of his backup Bradley and fellow right-back option Gomez. The only other Liverpool player not available is Tyler Morton.

David Moyes is also worried about left-back Vitalii Mykolenko's fitness after he had a thigh injury this week while playing for Ukraine on international duty. After Mykolenko was substituted out of the game during the second half of Ukraine's 3-0 Nations League defeat to Belgium, head coach Serhiy Rebrov presented a sombre image.
