Liverpool boss Arne Slot is backing Mohamed Salah to return to form against Fulham, while Arsenal are gearing up for a huge Champions League clash against Real Madrid
The Premier League returned yesterday for the first time since the international break, with Arsenal dropping points against Everton and Crystal Palace beating Brighton in an ill-tempered derby clash.
The action continues on Sunday as Fulham host league leaders Liverpool and rivals Manchester United and Manchester City clash in the standout games. The Champions League is then set to return next week, with the first legs of the quarter-finals due to be played.
Bayern Munich host Inter Milan and Arsenal welcome Real Madrid on Tuesday, before Borussia Dortmund make the trip to Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain meet Aston Villa on Wednesday.
With all that in mind, Mirror Football takes a look at some biggest stories in football...
Slot makes Salah prediction
Liverpool boss Arne Slot believes Mohamed Salah will have a smile on his face once again when the Reds take on Fulham this afternoon after going three games without a goal for the first time in more than two years.
Salah is out of contract at the end of the season, so he could leave Liverpool for free. Slot, on the other hand, is still fully focused on helping his team win the league. He stated, "I think Mo has smiled less because we lost the final of the Champions League." "It has nothing to do with not scoring a goal. For me, it's simple: you play Paris St. Germain, Newcastle in a final, and then a derby because sometimes the schedule is tougher than other times of the season. He hasn’t scored in three - so that’s why he has to score on Sunday!"
Arsenal sent Real Madrid message
Martin Keown, a legendary Arsenal player, has backed the Gunners to upset Real Madrid in the Champions League quarterfinals against the defending champions. "I get it, Real Madrid turn up at the business end of the season," Keown told TNT Sports. "It's quite magnificent, and they're 15-time winners. But don't discount Arsenal. I watched Real Madrid score four goals against Real Sociedad. "They can concede. It's not all happy in the Real Madrid garden. Arsenal can take advantage of that. Let's see what comes of it. That first game at home is really, really decisive. Arsenal must go after it." Truth behind Garnacho exit rumours
Following suggestions that Alejandro Garnacho's decision to put his house up for sale was a sign that he could be set to leave Manchester United this summer, the Manchester Evening News have poured cold water on the claims.
Garnacho is said to be looking to sell his property so he can move into a smaller house with his partner, Eva, and their young son, Enzo. The winger bought the house in the summer when he was also living with his family and brother.
However, despite Napoli's £40 million offer being turned down by United in the most recent January transfer window, there are still questions about Garnacho's future at Old Trafford.
