Celebrated Ghanaian entrepreneur and philanthropist Ɔdadeɛ Dr. Ernest Ofori
Sarpong is set to speak at the 16th Annual Africa Development Conference hosted
by Harvard University. The event, which will be held on April 11 and 12, 2025,
is expected to attract over 500 influential leaders, policymakers, and academics
from across the globe. This year’s theme, “Africa by 2040: The Future of
Africa’s Youth,” will focus on how the continent can empower its growing youth
population to drive long-term development and prosperity.
Dr. Sarpong’s invitation to this prestigious global platform is a

Presbyterian Boys’ Secondary School, Legon, known widely as PRESEC, he has
risen through the ranks to become a respected figure in Ghana’s business and

leading major corporations and initiatives, Dr. Sarpong’s story continues to
inspire thousands.
Currently serving as the Global President of the Ɔdadeɛ Alumni Association,
also known as Ɔdadeɛ Global, Dr. Sarpong also holds the position of Board
Chairman at PRESEC. Through these roles, he has worked tirelessly to support

one of Ghana’s most prestigious schools. His leadership has been instrumental
in strengthening the alumni network, raising funds for infrastructure projects,

Dr. Sarpong is the founder of several successful companies including Special
Investments Ltd., Special Ice Ltd., and Special Homes Ltd., which have made
remarkable contributions to real estate, water production, and the housing
industry in Ghana. His vision has also led to the co-founding of Best Point
Savings and Loans, U2 Salt Ltd., and United Television (UTV Ltd.), one of
Ghana’s leading television stations. His name is now associated with
innovation, excellence, and service to the nation.
In the corporate world, Dr. Sarpong is known for his strategic thinking,
integrity, and focus on national development. He has received numerous local
and international awards for his impact in business and community work. Holding
an MSc in Finance and Investment Management from Salford University in
Manchester, he is also a Chartered Accountant and a member of the Institute of
Chartered Accountants Ghana.
