Burkina Faso is fast rising to its self-dependency as a country. The president of the country, Captain Ibrahim Traore upon ascending the throne as the 5th president of the country on 6 October 2022 through a military coup by removing his predecessor Paul Henri Sandaogo Damiba has achieved more for the country. Some of his achievements include, From;

1. Helping the country’s GDP grow from $18.8 billion to $22.1 billion.

3. He expelled French troops from Burkina Faso.
4. Rice production saw a rise from 280,000 metric tonnes in 2022 to 326,000 metric tonnes in 2024.
5. He banned French military operations in Burkina Faso.
6. He banned French media in Burkina faso.
7. He banned the wearing of British legal wigs and gowns in local courts and introduced traditional Burkinabe attire for the legal practitioners.
8. He built a second cotton processing plant, adding to the one that already existed.
9. He stopped the export of unrefined Burkina faso gold to Europe.
10. In 2023, Captain Traore commissioned an untramodern state of the the art gold mine for the country to enhance the local processing of capabilities.
11. He reduced the salaries of ministers by 30% and increased the salaries if civil servants by 50%.
12. He has rejected loans from the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and World Bank, in his words “Africans do not need the World Bank, IMF, Europe or America to succeed.
13. He paid off the country's local debts.
14. He established two tomato processing plants, the first in history to ever happen in the country.
15. He prioritized agriculture by distributing about 400 tractors, 239 tillers, 714 motorcycles and 710 motor pumps to boost agriculture in the country.
16. His government is constructing new roads and widening the existing ones for easier and safer transport in the country

"Childbirth to be free in Burkina Faso! Women should not be charged for bringing life into the world" ~ Ibrahim Traore.

The military leader of Burkina Faso has asked some daring questions in relation to childbirth and people are in support of it

"Why should women be charged to bring life into the world?" he asked.

"I was born of a woman and can never watch to see women get charged so high to bring lives into the world. My poor mother almost lost me due to such charges, if not for God i won't alive to be a president today. I decree today that childbirth for any pregnant woman who walks into any government hospital in Burkina Faso must be free!" he stated.

The words of the president have sparked a widespread celebration amongst women and even men as they applaud and praise the military leader for his endless effort to make life easier for his people.
