North Tongu Assembly Confirms Hon. Victoria Yawa Amefadzi Doe as New DCE

Revamping the Juapong Textile Factory: Recognizing the potential of the Juapong Textile Factory in creating employment and promoting industrial growth, Hon. Doe announced plans to work with relevant stakeholders to revitalize the once-thriving factory. The aim is to enhance youth employment, reduce migration, and stimulate local economic activity.
Construction of the Volvo Bridge: She highlighted the need for improved infrastructure to support economic growth and announced plans to facilitate the construction of the long-awaited Volvo Bridge. This key infrastructure is expected to improve transportation and boost trade and commerce across the district.
Equipping the Health Sector: The DCE emphasized her commitment to improving healthcare delivery in the district. Plans are underway to equip health centers with the necessary tools, personnel, and logistics to enhance service delivery and promote better health outcomes for residents.
Improving Education: Education remains a priority for her administration. She pledged to improve the quality of education in the district by investing in school infrastructure, teacher motivation, and provision of learning materials. She also promised to promote girl-child education and reduce school dropout rates.
Provision of Potable Water: Addressing the challenge of water access in some communities, Hon. Doe promised to work towards extending water supply systems to areas lacking potable water. She stressed that access to clean drinking water is a basic human right and essential to public health.
