As June draws closer, Victor Osimhen looks set to take the next step in his career after his loan move to Galatasaray comes to an end. The Nigerian striker joined the Turkish side on a season-long loan from Napoli after last-minute moves to Chelsea and Saudi Arabia fell through.
Even though the move wasn't part of the original plan, Victor has shown his class at Galatasaray. With 27 goals and 5 assists so far this season, he’s proven to be a top striker and a key part of the team.
According to multiple sources, including respected journalist Fabrizio Romano, Osimhen is open to a move to either Juventus or the Premier League this summer, while Saudi Arabia remains an option too. But in my opinion, a move to Arsenal would be the smartest choice for both Victor and the club.
Arsenal have had striker problems for a while now, and it's cost them — finishing second in the Premier League two seasons in a row. Yes, they recently beat Real Madrid 3-0 with two free-kick goals from Declan Rice and a late one from Merino. But when I rewatched the highlights, it was clear: Arsenal are still lacking a proper presence in the box.
Bukayo Saka, for example, sent in several dangerous crosses, but no one was there to finish them. That’s exactly where someone like Osimhen comes in. He’s strong in the air, and despite the facial injuries he suffered in 2021, he’s become fearless in aerial duels. He’s already scored four headers this season alone.
But Osimhen isn’t just about goals. His football IQ is high — his movement creates space for others, and he’s unselfish too. I’ve seen him create big chances that his teammates waste. One that stood out was when he beat defenders, rounded the keeper, and passed to Ziyech, who just had to tap it in… but somehow missed. That’s why stats don’t always show a player’s full value.
Osimhen also brings fear to defenders. He’s strong, quick, and doesn’t give up. People say he’s not Premier League proven, but have they seen what he did at Lille at just 21? He scored against Tottenham and Leicester, and even won a penalty at Anfield against Van Dijk. He’s shown he can handle English opposition.
One thing I admire about him is his confidence. Even when he misses chances, he doesn’t hide. He’ll miss an easy one and then score a worldie. He doesn’t waste time dancing on the ball — when he gets it in the box, he goes for goal. That’s exactly what Arsenal need: a striker who’s hungry and direct.
Victor Osimhen would bring goals, energy, and leadership to Arsenal. He plays with passion and always puts the team first. That kind of striker could be the difference between finishing second and finally winning the league.
Arsenal and Osimhen? It's a perfect match — and I truly believe it.
