Is it Partey or Camavinga? Wayne Rooney Names His Favourite Ahead of Real vs Arsenal Clash

 Man United legend Wayne Rooney expressed his opinion regarding which of the two midfielders, Thomas Partey or Eduardo Camavinga, should play in Real Madrid's UCL quarterfinal matchup with Arsenal, where the Gunners hold a 3-0 lead and Partey is confident the North London club will advance to the semifinals. Rooney is considered to be the superior player because he won the Champions League in 2008. The Manchester United icon shared his thoughts on who's the superior midfielder between Thomas Partey and Eduardo Camavinga ahead of what promises to be an epic UEFA Champions League quarter-final second leg at the Santiago Bernabéu.

 In a pre-match interview with UEFA, the former striker was asked to put together a team that included the best players from both teams. Rooney leaned toward Camavinga when the discussion narrowed down to a choice between Arsenal's Ghanaian orchestrator and the young French dynamo from Real Madrid.  Rooney's choice has ruffled feathers, particularly given Partey’s dominant display in the first leg

 In that match, Arsenal defeated Madrid with a midfield trio that performed like a machine. Online Gooner claims that Partey was in charge of that control. He changed Madrid's rhythm and dictated play from deep as an expert pacemaker. The Ghana international’s influence gave Declan Rice the freedom to oscillate between defensive duties and forward surges while allowing Martin Ødegaard to thrive creatively in the half-spaces. 

 Partey was arguably the standout against a Real team that included Luka Modric, Jude Bellingham, and Camavinga himself in its engine room.  Arsenal had an advantage in the central areas thanks to Partey's combination of positional intelligence, press resistance, and progressive passing, which many believe tipped the balance in their favor from a tactical standpoint.
