According to journalist Patrick Berger, Manchester United are interested in signing Patrick Schick, a striker for Bayer Leverkusen. With just 38 points, the Red Devils are 14th in the Premier League. They have suffered 14 losses.

Their attack is one of their main issues. Joshua Zirkzee and Rasmus Hojlund have both struggled to be consistent in front of the goal. A number of strikers, including Liam Delap, Viktor Gyokeres, and Victor Osimhen, have been mentioned by United. Despite aiming to sign a younger forward, the club is also considering Schick as a serious option. The Czech international is on a shortlist of names being studied by United.

United and Leverkusen have already communicated, but nothing concrete has emerged as of yet. The 29-year-old has bagged 23 goals and one assist in all competitions this season.

Schick was a big reason why Leverkusen won the Bundesliga without losing and won the DFB Pokal last season. During the 2020 European Championship, he gained worldwide attention. The Silver Boot went to Schick, who netted five goals. He lost out on the main prize to Cristiano Ronaldo by one assist.

Leverkusen value the striker at around €30 million. He is currently under contract until 2027.

The Czech forward has received offers from Saudi Pro League clubs. However, he is not considering a move to the Middle East.

Betis are currently nine points from the final Champions League spot in La Liga.

It seems United are holding out for a fee for Antony, rather than allowing him to head out on another short-term deal. In fact, the report suggests that they want to sell him for £30 million. However, they appear to be taking a risk by rejecting Betis' loan proposal because it is more likely that they will want to sign Antony permanently if he continues to star there. If he’s not allowed to head out on loan again, he could become stranded at United, as other clubs might not be willing to take a risk on the £30million transfer.

The winger has only had a couple of months in form, so it’s not guaranteed that he’ll continue that down the line. It is currently unknown whether Betis or any other club will take a chance on him. But the Red Devils clearly believe that will happen, so they will hope Antony continues to play well so they can get the money they want from Betis or any other team.
